01. Gold D.Roger

The Pirate King. Became PK even with a death threatening illness. Has been referenced many times as being the strongest pirate ever, his strength acknowledged by prominent figures in the One Piece world.

One thing is for sure that the pirate king did had a large crew. If you compare it with this generation of pirates his crew was a lot like Shanks’ crew and of course shanks had also been a crew member of the pirate king so it wasn’t just an ordinary crew. In his crew there wasn’t much devil fruit eater. By far only Buggy (The clown) is been identified as a devil fruit eater. But just like shanks’ crew, every one feared pirate king’s crew.

There must have been many enemies for the pirate king but there wasn’t anyone who was on the same level of the pirate king. Shiki is a well-known pirate from pirate kind’s era. Shiki had the power to run from the Impel down. He destroyed half of the marine ford when he fought against SenGoku and Garp. And still he wasn’t accepting that roger had been captured by the marines.

Well every on has armanend and perception haki but roger wasn’t confirmed with conquerors haki. Even tho his perception haki was so strong that he could hear the sea monsters of the sea from the sea level. It is stated that the stronger the will the stronger your conquerors haki is. so roger had the strongest will of all so there is a possibility that roger did had the conquerors haki so that he was able to roam the grand line two times. so this was my theory on how strong was the Pirate King Roger, if you have any suggestion, just comment you thoughts right below.

There had never been told that what devil fruit roger had eaten in fact even this is not sure that he had eaten a devil fruit or not. Because in pirate king’s era most of them fought without relying too much on their devil fruits. but this theory suggest that he had the same power as Monkey D Dragon (even if it was a devil fruit or not) roger and dragon both have the power to manipulate weather and climate. It was a very sunny day on the day of rogers execution how suddenly came the clouds and then there was a storm.

02. Monkey D Garp

Monkey D Garp was introduced as a vice admiral of the navy with dog mask. It was revealed after few chapters that Garp is actually grandfather of the main protagonist of the one piece Moneky D Luffy. Oda has always given few hints about power of garp. While escorting captain morgan to prison he slept and when he woke up he broke a nearby cannon while stretching his arms. People in one piece call him with various name like hero of marine (for cornering Pirate king gold roger), garp the fist and sometimes Demon (for his sheer power). This indicate his fighting style entirely depended on his hands. Also when fighting with Don Chinjao, he has been using Busoshoku Haki to flatten the unique shaped head of chinjao with single punch who was in his prime with bounty 500,000,000 (5 hundred million berries) which shows his sheer power. He also knew about other 2 haki as well because of which he is training Coby. Also Garp is very fast as shown in Water 7 arc when he confronts luffy by passing his crew members especially Franky and Sanji, who are well known fighters, were not able to even see garp as he run and jump towards luffy and landed fist of love on him.

Recently garp has been complaining about the decline in his power due to age. In his prime he had always refuse the promotions in the navy else hw would have been taken the place of Sengoku who is currently as a Fleet admiral of marines. Garp has also cornered pirate king Gold Roger in the past and he knew Whitebeard too. With this we know that Garp is powerful but there are some incidents like fight with golden lion shiki where fans doubt that Garp also has some kind of devil fruit too. Maybe it’s a mysterious zoan fruit. Why Zoan you ask? According to my analysis, His enemies Whitebeared, big mom had paramecia. Sengoku had mysterious paramecia too. Also His fighting style is more of closed and contact fight thus to increase his power he must have an zoan type. Even Eiichiro Oda himself told in one of the SBS question that Garp has one more form. The exact words were – “Garp’s “true form” may be the scar-less one”. This points towards physical appearance will be changed.

03. Edward Newgate

Whitebeard was one of the Yonko (Four Emperors) as well as the captain of the Whitebeard Pirates who he considered his “sons”. Even at his old age, he was believed to be the strongest man in the world until his defeat at Marineford.

Whitebeard was able to overpower giants and Marines with just one hand at Marineford. Also during Marineford he stood toe to toe with Akainu and continued fighting after having part of his head burned off. And during his fight against Blackbeard, with his devil fruit powers nullified, he was strong enough to pin him down. Even within his old-age and with his health issues, it took 267 sword wounds, 152 gunshots, 46 cannonball wounds plus Kizaru’s laser beam, two magma blasts from Akainu and having his head half melted off to kill him. That was one tough old man!

Whitebeard was one of the few to be able to use all three forms of Haki. His Devil Fruit is the Gura-Gura no Mi and it allows him to create shockwaves in the air that he can use to cause earthquakes, tsunamis and destroy any land formation and anything on it. Like he did when he split Marineford in two. He also used his Bisento as a weapon which he could combine both with his Devil Fruit power and Haki to exponentially increase the damage done. He even stopped Akainu’s attack with it!

04. Kaido

Kaido is one of the Four Emperors and the captain of the Beast Pirates. Until his defeat in Dressrosa, Doflamingo was supplying Kaido with devil fruits from the SMILE Factory. He is so strong and fearsome, that even Doflamingo feared what would happen if Kaido didn’t get his shipment.

We didn’t know much about Kaido, other than he is feared and powerful. Gekko Moriah mentions at Thriller Bark that Kaido killed his entire crew in the New World and that is why he decided to have a crew made entirely of zombies.

Little by little, we’re learning more about Kaido and how powerful he really is. At the end of the Dressrosa Arc, it’s revealed that even though he has been defeated seven times, captured by enemies 18 times and sent to be executed 40 times, he is still alive. He has also sunk nine prison ships!

He jumped out of the sky to try and kill himself and still, did not succeed. He did, however, create a devastating shockwave and a crater after his impact on the ground only to stand up without a scratch and complaining about his inability to die. In fact, it seems he often attempts suicide and fails every time. Kaido is massive, strong and has the most durability of all the characters in One Piece and seems to be immortal so far. For now, Kaido of the Beasts is looking like the strongest character in the One Piece universe!

05. Shanks

Though the laissez-faire pirate may not look like it at first, Shanks is not a man to be messed with. As the captain of the Red Hair Pirates, Shanks is known to have a good laugh, but he will not hesitate to destroy anyone who threatens his close friends. Having been part of the legendary Roger Pirates, Shank may not use her power to seek the One Piece, but he acts as Luffy’s undeniable mentor – but that is not surprisingly. Plenty of people would look up to someone who can go against the fearsome pirate Whitebeard and live all for the sake of a little chit-chat.

05. Shiki

One of the prominent figure’s in Roger’s era. Shiki was almost able to fight on par with Roger, and almost defeat Garp + Sengoku. He also was the first person to escape from Impel Down, making his way from level 6. He also amassed the biggest pirate fleet of Roger’s era. I put him on # 3 cause he fought the duo of Garp + Sengoku in their prime and almost defeated them.

06. Sengoku

The second highest command of the WG, Sengoku commands all marines. Sengoku is feared through the world and was revered even by WB as a master “strategist”. Sengoku wields a higher position than the strongest fighters of the WG, the Admirals. With enough power to subdue a pissed-off Garp without using his DF when a sad twist of events occurred. Sengoku’s DF is very strong enough to take down the execution platform after being blocked by Luffy’s Fussen. Being a prominent figure in Roger’s era, Sengoku continues to be one of the most feared and prominent figures of the One Piece world. In his prime Sengoku along with Garp took down one of the strongest pirates of the era, Shiki. I put him on top of Garp cause not only did he subdue Garp when Garp was enraged by Akainu’s actions but Sengoku had warned Garp that if he tried anything funny at Marineford he would “show no mercy”, implying that he could defeat Garp, the legendary marine.

07. Monkey D. Dragon

The most wanted man alive and father to the future PK. Dragon has been referenced as being as dangerous as Roger, and is the leader of the Revolutionary Army with subordinated as strong as Emporio. Dragon has use of Haki, as seen when he was able to grab Smoker and keep him off Luffy. I put him on #4 cause he’s the most wanted man alive with a bounty currently surpassing all other characters, and is implied as being one on the strongest characters. However this one’s a baseless statement cause we haven’t really seen the extent of his abilities.

09. Silvers Rayleigh

The first mate and right hand man of the Pirate King, Rayleigh is also considered to be a “legend”. Strong enough to fight evenly with Kizaru, one of the WG 3 greatest powers, in his old days. Rayleigh has mastery of Haki and possess King Disposition, commanding it with such ability that he could target different people and lay them unconscious, not to mention making Kizaru tangible and drawing blood from his face. Kizaru commented that a capturing a man of Rayleigh’s caliber would be too “troublesome”, while Garp ordered the marines not to engage Rayleigh since he was just too strong. He was referenced by Shakuyaku as saying that he’s “100 times stronger” than the supernovas, this of course is an exaggeration but it gives you a hint of Rayleigh’s strength. In his prime he wielded enough power to defeat any of the current admirals with his phenomenal Haki. I put him below Garp cause Garp fought par on par with Roger which is obviously stronger than Rayleigh since he’s the captain. Also Garp commented to the marines to not fight Rayleigh and that he would take care of him eventually, implying he could defeat Rayleigh.

10. Marshall D. Teach

Strong enough to scar Shanks 10 years ago, Blackbeard has been shown to be one of the strongest pirates in the sea. With enough strength to defeat two commanders of WB crew, Thatch and Ace, Blackbeard has been shown to have inhuman strength. Becoming a Shichibukai with relative ease, Blackbeard was revered after defeating Ace, a logia user. His Darkness DF allows him to wield extraordinary power, as he can nullify and drain ANY other DF. With the combination of his DF, his strength/endurance and his experience makes him a formidable opponent.
